About
At 16, my mother’s diagnosis with a brain tumor brought me into a world of uncertainty that forever changed my life. I found myself navigating a world of uncertainty that shaped me in profound ways. For 16 years, I watched her battle her illness with incredible courage, inspiring me to find solace and expression in creativity. When she passed away in 2019, I thought the hardest part of my journey was behind me.
But life had more lessons in store. Just a year later, my father was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. It was a blow that deepened my understanding of grief—not just for what I had lost but for what I was about to lose. In the midst of his treatment, my father and I found a unique way to cope. He began teaching me everything he knew about finish carpentry, sharing his passion for wainscoting and accent walls. As his illness progressed, those projects became more than just work—they became our shared refuge, a way to stay connected and find purpose together.
After his passing in March 2024, I realized how much those moments had shaped me. Through the grief and the challenges, I discovered my own creative voice—a voice rooted in resilience, determination, and the beauty of skilled craftsmanship. Today, every piece I create is not just a tribute to the lessons my parents taught me but a celebration of the journey that has shaped who I am.
In every accent wall, wainscoting design, art piece there’s a story—a story of turning pain into purpose, of honoring the people who believed in me, and of finding a way to thrive even in the face of life’s hardest moments. This is my way of sharing that story with you, in the hope that it inspires and resonates with your own journey.
